Working at SLDC has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I have worked with the 5 and 6-year-old boys for the past four years. I look forward to working with them once again this coming summer. Through these summers, I have learned many things that have already impacted my life in multiple ways. Spring Lake actually helped me decide to go into the educational field. Initially my choices were business and education. However, working at the camp helped me decide that education was my true passion.
As I transition into my senior year, I couldn’t be more pleased with the decision. Along with helping guide me towards majoring in education, SLDC helped me see the joy I have in working with children and being seen as a role model. With that in mind, it became evident that I wanted to specifically work in an elementary school. Thanks to Spring Lake and my experiences there, I strongly believe I have chosen the profession that will fit me perfectly and be most beneficial for me and those around me.
